Aurora comes to town #3

Last night the geomagnetic activity reached Kp8, and the aurora borealis was visible here in the south of Norway. This time, overcast skies did not completely block my view!

Gamle Stavanger

This is a street in the old part of town, known as Gamle Stavanger. It is the largest surviving wooden house settlement in northern Europe. The 173 houses, built around the end of the 18th and beginning of 19th century, are all under preservation order. Most are privately owned and occupied, giving the area the feeling of a living museum.
