People parking here won't have the same problem that yesterday's drivers had!

This Tromsø car park is a series of tunnels and chambers built inside the hill / island that the town sits on. Being underground it remains at a constant temperature of +10C and leaving your car here for a while is a convenient way of removing the stubborn ice that clings to vehicles in winter.

Another advantage is that the car park was designed with handy concrete nuclear blast doors and therefore doubles up as a bomb shelter for the people of Tromsø!
